We are seeing an unprecedented number of dumped/abandoned/orphaned puppies and kittens this year! Right now we have a beautiful, sweet momma cat with two kittens. They were the only two to survive after mom showed up in Taos at someone’s home, as skinny as a rail, and pregnant. We knew it would be a risky queening and ended up spending the day at the vet when the labor stalled early in the morning. One girl and one boy! Both doing great! Eyes have opened now, growing like weeds, will be ready in about 6 weeks.

Right after went sent off 7 little puppies dumped at Smith’s in Taos and rescued buy an upstanding citizen, we arranged transfer to our partner Colorado Puppy Rescue! They travelled with a litter of 6 from another Taos rescue. We are hoping this slows down as we move into fall.
